Hi there, what if you tried another experiment with the doll house myth, wind blowing instead of wind blowing one direction try positioning another wind blower coming in to the side window, as a hurricane would?

Roundhouse kick, propelling a billiard ball fast enough to kill your adversary?

Marginally Plausible...

A pool ball has some pretty good mass... not unlike throwing a piece of brick at someone's head.

Your problem, is this... when you KICK that sucker... you're just as likely to break the instep of your foot! The bones on top of your foot, REALLY would NOT enjoy the initial impact with the ball, and that would substantially reduce the velocity of the ball coming off your foot when those bones gave.

If you got beyond that, unscathed and got the ball moving with some average speed... YEAH... if it hits the adversary "RIGHT", it MIGHT have a snowball's chance in hell of killing the guy... but that's about it...

Most likely, the guy kicking the pool ball is going to hurt his foot... the ball's going to MISS entirely... and now the kicking fighter's going to be dealing with a busted foot, while his enemy's going to be kicking the hell out of him.

A knockout is possible... but not especially likely, if the ball connects with the opponent.

To say that death is 'not likely' is an understatement.

Hope you enjoyed the movie... but speaking as a martial arts instructor, I'll tell you that Jet Li himself would probably shake his head 'no' to the kicked billiard ball kill being even remotely practical.

The amount of luck it'd take to pull that stunt off in a live confrontation, is incalculable. Nobody's that lucky.

I stumbled on this post today. I know the answer! The song we used for the Mythbusters Pilot is a SKA take on a straight up blues progression. Its based on a song from Bob's 1990 SKA release, Slide A Go Go, SkyRanch Virgin. The original title was "Screaming Ska Blues≥" This album is now out of print but I have seen them used on Amazon now and again.
